[WoT] New in WoT Digest. Part 1.

With this post I'm starting a series of digests covering some new and to some extent already announced features and content that are planned for World of Tanks in the foreseeable and hm.. less foreseeable future. 


N1. New game modes

This is definitely N1 of all times and currently has the highest priority possible. The development of the new game modes have been broken into several development stages. The first ones in queue will be modifications of the current standard (random) battle mode already familiar to players and. The victory conditions are going to be the same: either base capture or total destruction of enemy vehicles, however some things will be modified.

As for Attack & Defense (draft name) game mode base capture mechanics, there is only one base on the map that belongs to the defending team. The attacking party has no base at all and its mission is to either capture the only base or destroy the defending team. 15 min time limit can and most likely should be reduced for this mode.

Counter battle (draft name) game mode also offers only one base which is located somewhere near the center of the map. Base capture mechanics also is to undergo some changes, thus when tanks of the two opposing teams are in base capture circle, no points are awarded at all. The rest will be the same again with hits on enemies break the capture progress, etc.

The above two variations of standard battle game mode, Attack & Defense and Counter battles, are planned for 7.4. Both are currently in testing.

The next step will most probably be long-awaited Historical battles. This kind of entertainment, being a variation of company battles, is going to be available for organized teams (we do plan some simplifications for individual players of how to find the suitable company). Visually the mode will resemble Clan Wars "in miniature". Expected time of completion a single scenario (battle) is going to be up to 2 hours. Consequently, in terms of time "consumption" and  player commitment, Historical battles are expected to take place somewhere in between Company battles (with 1h per day) and Clan Wars (with 3-6h per day). Currently we are polishing the concept of this game mode to prepare it for the production. The main feature of Historical battles is obviously historical setups of the vehicles, broken into periods. Playing a 1941 battle, there will be no Tigers and IS's available, in 1943 you won't see any T-54s and E-50s... Actually, there will be no T-54s and E-50s at all in this mode :). At first Historical battles are going to be limited by World War 2 time line, later on the period can be extended (eg include Korean War and the respective vehicles fought there).

Looking into even more distant future, can't but mention one more game mode that has been talked about - Garage battles. In this mode you can choose several vehicles to play in one particular battle in succession, one after another. Garage mode will indeed offer totally different experience giving players a chance to actually revenge themselves in the same battle, using another vehicle. If they are lucky and/or skilled enough, for sure :)

N2. Revision of T-50-2   

With most of the in-game vehicles being rather close to their real-life counterparts, there are some exceptions to the unwritten rule. The most vivid example would probably be tier 5 Soviet light tank T-50-2 which in reality was totally different. As for the in-game one, it has got the name of laws-of-physics-breaker.  The real T-50-2 produced by Kirov plant was, truth to tell, a mediocre light tank, especially in terms of mobility. The in-game version does look like a sort of motorcycle, which is really disappointing. The group of our military and tanks experts is currently digging up the archives to find a suitable replacement or even two :) (there are different crazy ideas). The bottom line is that such revision of T-50-2 will most likely happen. Eventually.

N3. French premium HT

All factions, except for French at this time, enjoy their own high tier premium heavies. Soon we will get rid of this unfairness, introducing one of the post-war heavy tank projects (most likely without auto-loader) for France. At this stage we are still not sure whether it is going to be tier 7 or tier 8 to fit the balance.

N4. Armoured Skirts 

Also has already been mentioned before. This is really quite time- and effort-consuming task mostly even not from a coding side, but from modeling point of view.  So taking into account always limited resources and manpower, it was decided that new tanks (everyone wants Brits to arrive, right?) should have a higher priority than skirts, however this hasn't been dumped out of plans completely. According to the current concept, skirts are planned to be introduced as an unique module, like Additional armour, that can be mounted on a vehicle. This would change not only the visual looks of the vehicle (making it really cool), but also the hitbox itself, providing extra protection. There are even more relevant ideas, however with this being a long-term plan, details are to be shared later. 

N5. 30 vs 30 battles

Bigger is better? There is a special project within the team which goes under the internal name "boundless-land". Its goals are: 1) increase of map size and 2) introduction of 30 vs 30 battles. The issue is really complex affecting performance, both client and server sides, to a very high extent. And currently we are still researching the possibilities here, meaning the "enlarged" battles also belong to long-term plans.

N6. Commander's Tanks

This is going to be a separate type of tanks. The concept of Commander's tanks is the following: 
  • these are the vehicles with slightly inferior performance than regular vehicles of that tier, to make for that they have got certain special "abilities"
  • those who would drive commander's tank will get a commander's chart or map, allowing to assess the situation in battle and give orders to the team
  • only these tanks would enjoy special consumables like Airstrike, Reconnaissance, and some other things, representing a form of joint, team weaponry
Since commander's tanks are still at concept, design doc stage, some things may and most likely will be changed during production.

Added after reading comments on forums to clear up things a bit: Commander's tanks are intended for CWs mostly, and probably (if it works out) for companies, not for random/standard battles. 

In the next post I will cover such points as new physics, new tech trees, hardcore mode and other important things.

  1. So, the additional armour is a new module or equipment? How much weight will it add id any?

    Also, with the new garage stats rework in 7.2 will chocolate/coffee etc... be able to increase the power-to-weight ratio and thus increase acceleration of a tank (e.g. 50Bs power-to-weight ratio is 1200/62.21 = 19.29 w/o any or consumables, but with coffee it becomes 19.29*1.1 = 21.22)? I'll assume that this does not change the value of the engine horse power in the process.

    Oh and since your doing the rework of the garage stats, why not have a value next to them in brackets showing the modified value with the current module/equipment/consumable setup of the tank [i.e. 6.05(7.3) for the T110 w/o the best setup and with]?

  2. Despite I'm whinning ale the time I really like this game and still it's my favourite game (i never played +500 hours in one title...) so I'm glad that you still trying to improve this game. Really nice review OVv!

    1. overlord, talk to the developers in order to redesign the penetration/damage system. The actual penetration system was designed for as something for a small game, but now this as this game become pretty big it requires really normal penetrating system based on physics calculations instead of "luck".
      A lot of premium users will not continue playing this game with the penetrating system as it is right now.

      the pen / dam physics is complicated enough for semi-arcadish game which WoT is. At this stage, I find it unreasonable to make that kind of change that will totally change the gameplay.

      I'm always opposite to the presiding. Not because I dislike WoT or WG, but because criticism provokes developers to make changes that are neeeded.
      Your answer, while I find it somewhat reasonable due to WoT being semi-arcadish game, is not a good one.
      The fact that the game client allows small kids that are 8-9 years old to log in and use, for example, IS7 or Maus in random battles, thus heavily affecting their teams, is not acceptable. One of the reasons being the current penetration/damage system. The other of course, themselves being 8, 9 and thus less aware of their effect on the game.
      the kid will still have the best tank on map, and will simply point a gun in direction of enemy, not knowing where to shoot, but will still ammo rack or only damage tracks of an experienced player.

      I hope you see where I am going with this? It will not change the gameplay completely, it will rather improve the overall experience, because I can guarantee a vast majority of your customers are EXTREMELY unhappy with the current system.

    5. and to add to the above, kinda hit "publish" in haste...
      A shell from a King Tiger going at God only knows what speed, with it's 105mm or even the original historical 88mm, hits a light vehicle, like an AMX 13-75, or T-50, and you get 0 damage notification or you manage to just destroy his track.
      Just the shock and size of shell landing on those vehicles would be enough to completely obliterate both the tank and the crew, the shells being almost the size of those wheels inside the track/suspension system.

    1. According to recent interviews with developers, hardcore mode was tested back in times of internal tests(those even before AT) and was found "rather dull". So right now it has quite low priority, especially over everything Overlord listed in this post

  5. Thank you very much Overlord for this informations.

    Alas, I am a little sad that historical battles are going towards tank companies and not random battles. I hoped that one day we get randoms without prototypes and with historical modules (for example: Historical random battle 1939, Historical random battle 1940 and so on). Tank companies are for me too much time consuming - waiting for a battle is sometimes quite long and boring.

    But I am not bored with random battles after almost 2 years of playing (started in July 2010) so it is not big problem that my most awaited game mode goes into wrong ( for me :) ) direction.

    3. Me to, i have kept most of the historical tanks in my garage for this. But if this is the consept i can say its a big disapointment. It will be to time consuming, part of the charme of this game is playing a few rounds inbetween other shores in the home. (gotta do something to keep the gf hanging around.. ;)

      If the tanks has been adjusted for your planed mode, it should be possible to make a historical random modus, as i think it would be more populare.

      I think the consept may be to complicated and timeconsuming for the large mass of players.

    4. with all of the other items going on and adding new tanks, i would have thought this would have been done first since its the most needed to keep the ganme play going on and not getting old since all we play is CTF.. The new tanks could have waited i think.. we had plenty of tanks ready before the french line came in and the american Td line..

  8. I remember testing garage battles about 6-7 months ago While i was still welcome to (Aussie not allowed now). How far has it come since then?

  9. Overlord i've got one idea, can you give me an opinion is this a good idea? I was playing last days with my t29 and my m26, t29 is basing on lenghthened m26 hull (8 weels instead 6), also t32 is based on m26 (7 wheels) with slightly thicked front plate, but sharing same turret. So is this possible to switch t32 and t29 with places? T32 would get be slightly nerfed, some speed, some turning also would get only 90 mm guns in pershing turrets (90 mm M3 and T15E2) and T29 would keeps original setup but some performance would be buffed. What do you think about such idea?

Since you are considering 30vs30 battles and commander vehicles, wouldn't it be a good idea to implement some other support vehicles to this game, like repair vehicles (german bergtiger for example), that can fix a certain amount of tonnage during the match? We know from other games that alot of players like to take a non-offensive role (like medic and engineer in FPS games), to support their team by keeping them alive and running.
    At least i find the idea pretty good, if i can say so :)

    1. Well if your thinking in those lines...My thoughts were that the supplies at your base that everyone crushes to keep enemy cappers from hiding behind...well have them be "resupply" of ammo for said teams tanks.

      Bet people wouldn't cruch them then huh.. :P

  13. Great news, looking forward to historic the modes more than any other, fed up with blueprint tanks (Wouldn't have a problem if they were turretless :-). Please hurry up with British tanks :-)
    However overall, Good job WG and Good job Overlord with blog.

    Just one thing though, I know you are no longer going to be implementing selling tanks or modules to other players; but have you CONSIDERED: Crew auctions. I for example have a T-34-85 radio man and several other German crew members someone else could perhaps benefit from having. It wouldn't have to be a permanent feature, perhaps you could have a 'annual crew fair'. What do you think?

  14. Umm new game modes have been coming since Beta.... Hate to say it but I am tired of hearing you talk about them its time to make them a reality.....I cant believe it is really that hard to modify some code in the win conditions and make some new modes. If its a mapping issue I am sure people would be happy to deal with the current maps for the sake of having something new as far as a victory condition. You could add one map a patch thats made for the new modes and then gradually phase out the current maps. LIke I said though lets quit talking about a feature you have promised since before the game launched and actually deliver on that talk......

  15. Oh and I would have said N1 of all time based on numerous polls both here on your own blog and on the website was the Matchmaker and its issues. Why do you continue to refuse to address it/and or do half measures? Can we ever expect something more fair like the recent changes to tier 5 heavy tanks? I have been here since beta and by far the most complained about things have been the matchmaker 1st and game modes 2nd.

  17. I'll believe it when I'm sitting here PLAYING it. These "new game modes" have been promised since beta. You guys are too slow for a F2P game still, you never will learn huh? That's one of the big reasons this game is an absolute failure in NA compared to RU, even EU. And even though I'm not getting paid for this, maybe I should though since it seems to be a mystery to you guys, but hint: "Anti-consumer" actions and attitude doesn't win over fans. You're not Activision or EA, and from a dev standpoint, you're no Blizzard, DICE, Treyarch, or Infinity Ward.

    Talk to your players. The NA forums are a ghost town from you guys still 2 years later.

    1. They're coming in 7.4 what more do you want? We actually have a definitive patch number for them now instead of some vague assertion that "they're coming some time later this year".

    2. Don't get your hopes up. We heard about all these shiny new things for months, and we got jack squat from these guys in regards to these promises. Just more of the same old same old.

    3. They've been going extremely slowly but they have been releasing the stuff that the community has asked for. They gave hopelessly unrealistic timelines for when this shit would be released though. They would probably be a lot better off if they simply hadn't released that tentative release schedule for everything last year. But the American heavy revision is done, the Soviet heavy revision is done, the T23 is the Pershing, the Panther and Panther II don't suck anymore, the French are here, etc. The only thing left that tons of people are itching for are game modes, the British line and the 2nd German TD line. No one seems excited for the 2nd Soviet TD or 1/2 medium line.

      I just got over a 1 week ban trying to get someone to answer my questions on things like the current Match Maker.
      You are right, there is no Dev support on the NA forums and no one EVER updates or answers any of the hundreds of threads begging for answers.
      A prime example of this is the Match Maker. OMG! What are we trying to do here? World of Frustration? Well, you got it!
      The NA forum has a "Official 7.2 Matchmaker Discussion" that has been opened since April 04 2012 with not ONE update from a Dev.
      When is anyone going to address what the NA forums are asking?

      I am tired of having 3-6 artys in a match as I am tired of one team only having 3 tier 9's and the other team having 6 tier 9's. Can we not teach the Match Maker to add?
      And what is which all these tier 9-10 battles? It seems like almost ever game I am in above tier 6 is a tier 9 or 10 battle. WTF?

      I pretty much have given up on Wargaming and their "World of" series. Good thing Diablo III and Mechwarrior Online are just around the corner.

  22. Great work on your blog and, more importantly, on the game. WoT is really something I enjoy, and looking forward to the next 2 projects as well. :D

    Now for my question: When planning the new game modes (Attack & Defense, Counter, ..) would these battles be played on the same maps that we currently play random maps on, or are completely new maps being created that better fit the game mode? I suppose you could also just modify some maps, for instance Komarin would instantly become useful again in for example Attack & Defense. ;)

    1. From what I know, the maps are either going to be new or redesigned. Part of the reason this has taken so long is because, according to some of the devs, these game modes were absolute crap for a lot of the maps.

    2. There will be reworked and modified versions of the current maps. The two new game modes won't be available on all the maps at first stage at least.

  23. i agree that companies are too long and time consuming and i thought it would be easier to have MM sort out the Historical(Sherman,Tiger,T34/85) and so on tanks for a CTF battle. i hate playing against paper & post WWII (E-50, E100,Patton, T-54,AMX's) tanks when i do play with the real WWII tank.. A tiger Vs a E-100 sure isn't historical and i don't have the time to play with a company for hours or to get in a game at a certain time to play with companies. I'd like to be able to click the tab and see historical and get in a game that quick.. No waiting.. i have been a beta tester and have played alot when i can. Great game..

  24. Looking forward to the next post about physics and hardcore mode. Also, a tier 7 French premium HT sounds like a great idea. If we had more tier 7 tanks in the game, it would really improve matchmaking for tier 5 tanks.

      Anyway, they confirmed a while ago that nation vs nation aren't going to be happening, only historical battles.

    2. The tanks are balanced to fit as a part of a whole. Tanks that are excellent but rely on things not found in their nation's tanks (like the French and proper tanking or the Russians and gun depression) so it'd fall apart in rapid order. The only single nation teams I've seen perform well in companies are T32 swarms and French mobs, and the latter fall on their face against good opponents. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from, the German tanks are incredible right now and other nations find it hard to keep up.

  26. We NEED the commander tank (btw, there is already one in game, the unique Pz4-5 was a commanding tank :) , But, do you plan to add it for random, or for organized battle only (Company/clan wars/etc...)?

    1. I personally imagine that it will only be for organized battles. A command tank would be absolutely worthless in pub matches since no one cooperates there anyway.

    Thanks for the big preview!
    That was totally unexpected.

    I have a question about the armoured skirts.
    It sounds like everyone can have them, or
    is it only for tanks that had them historically?
    I am a little afraid, that it could alter the look of tanks
    a lot and not into the historically accurate direction ^^

    I'd love to have skirts on a Sturmgeschütz III, but I'm
    bothered about armoured skirts on a Tiger.

  29. Just wanted to join my voices to the others here - historical battles needs to be a variation on Random Battles, not on Tank Companies. And God help if you don't restrict to historical modules as well...

  31. Any chance of an in-game vote system to disable flag capping? I have been denied many a top gun and boelter's because apparently capping gets you more exp than kills and damage.

  32. Why you just cant fix problems you created since game went live instead of addin new ones?
    You added too much guns with extra high penetartion, reduced normalization etc. so german tanks are now completely useless.

    1. It cuts both ways. All of the new tanks with super-high pen also have crap armor [or at the very least VERY serious weakspots]. The German's low penetration is almost irrelevant since so much of the new stuff itself has crap armor. The Maus and E-100 still have the advantage in that its very hard for lower tier stuff to flank and pen them.

      The exception is the IS-4, although that itself is badly hurt by the new super-high pen guns and its armor overall is not as strong as the Maus's or E-100's.

      Go to wotarmory.wordpress.com. They have armor protection reports for the ST-I, IS-4 and IS-8. So far, not impressive. The IS-8 has legitimately crap armor.

    2. For Maus and IS4 agree but E100 got a weakspot almost that big as half of the entire frontal profile of is7 or is4. With worse penetration so I cant see that "advantage".

    3. 750 damage is a magical thing. So are terrain features that hide your glacis or sticking your nose into a building and exposing only your side at a huge angle and your turret.

  35. Is there a chance that number of SPGs per battle will be limited to f.eg. max 2 per battle (or 4 - 2 on each side)? Some battles of 8-10 tier tanks are ridicules cause most of the time we have 4 arties on each side... Comon!
    Instead of having proper tank war we have "hide from arties fire" dance... Arties are to precise, they can see whole battleground (when oponent tanks are detected well), They can see tanks hiding behing the buildings and waiting just for enough to shoot you down... This is the most unrealistic part of this game! They kill way too many tanks in one battle!
    I have SPG in my garage and it is a very good way of improving my tank kill ratio.
    Please decrease number of SPGs per battle! or do something about that...

    1. Agree...what are we doing here? I do not remember downloading "World of Artillery".

      Two artys max per match would be great, not to mention that some maps force you to camp in which 3-5 artys pound you in the ground. It's pretty sad when the match ends and the arty's have 80% of the kills.

  36. Overlord, shoudln't N1 be MULTICORE SUPPORT, the game is wasting a ton of performance tight now that could improve gameplay ten fold.
    Even high end machines have poor playability due to the quite obsolete singlecore code

    2. Who knows when BigWorld 2 will be available. It should support 2 cores but Overlord said (I think half a year ago) it wasn't released yet. How is it looking now Overlord?

    3. I get lower framerates in this obsolete engine game than I do in BF3 on Ultra with all goodies turned up. Yes, this game is a mess.

    4. That's a totally different task to do that doesn't lie 100% on our side, since we are using a third-party engine. For sure it's one of the things that is being worked on.

    5. have the developers take into consideration changing the game engine (like frostbite 2 or cryengine 2 or 3) ?
      yes, it will be a damn hard work, but can you just imagine how astonishing the result will be? ...i think all of us can wait several months in order to see a such update :D

      p.s. i guess your actual contract with bigworld will not expire soon and is way cheeper overall.

  38. Hey, about that OP T-50-2. How long do you guys think it'll take them to "fix" this OP scout's handling? I'm guessing since it's russian junk it'll get nerfed in the time it took them to nerf the IS-4, meaning from launch until 7.2. They'll leave it like that for a little while, you know, cause it's russian. Unlike the German E-Series, which got beat down on the test servers with the nerf stick before they even went live. All because they're German.

    I'm convinced your company is not russian biased, but more like "like russian junk more" and absolutely hate German tanks, racists if you will.

    1. Racist? Nah. Hate towards Germans? I don't think so. Soviet tanks biased? Possible but I'm also biased on my favourite tanks (like Panther, Patton, Centurion or IS3) so it's not a crime. I think devs major sin it's that they always thinks they know better. So then we got to fight with OP KW1 with 107 on tier 5, then we got to fight with T50-2 etc. We don't want that would devs listen community always cause community itself don't know what to want but we need some little attention for our ideas and full transparency about decisions concerning balancing (and for sake better balancing methodology, w/l ratio is good only for small tiers spread battles and xp with two kinds of xp is useless)

    2. E-75 got beat down on the testservers?
      I got a better turret (slower turning but still
      better). It's speed got nerfed but when it entered
      the liveserver, it was the best tier 9!
      The IS-4 wasn't that great due to it's drivers hatch
      weakspot. It's buff in 7.1(I think it was 7.1) was
      well deserved.
      The only tier 9 that is desperately needing a buff
      is the Ausf. B ;)

      Wargaming has identified most OP tanks and is doing
      something about it (KV,KV3,any French autoloader tanks),
      it just takes a little longer sometimes.

  39. When is Match Maker going to be addressed?

    New maps and modes are cool and the game over all is great! but the Match Maker completely sucks and it is killing the game! This has been a unresolved problem since before 6.6 when I started playing.

    Can we please fix the current issues before release more content?

    1. Release of new content, especially maps and tank, is not related to the server-side issues like multi-core support or MM. The work on both is being carried out atm. The new MMing system is undergoing the final testing.

    1. You signed an agreement stating you were fine with this very fact when you installed/played the game for the first time/update the game. If you don't agree, then stop playing and don't agree to the terms. It sounds like I'm being an ass, but this is like going up to someone, paying them to punch you, and then complaining you didn't expect them to punch you.

  45. Just a thought here about the skirt armour.
    The MOD community is alive and well.
    They have already made leaps and bounds creating skins for most Tanks in the Game.
    Why don't you open up a competition for the most creative skins for side skirts. If you opened up the programing as well there are enough creative people in the WOT community out there who will do the job for you. Having your name in the credits as additional content contributor looks good on the resume. Comes cheap too.
    We could get this content earlier then as well.

  47. I cannot see Garage Battles ever being useful for random battles. Currently when we hit "Battle" we have no idea on the quality of team we will be getting. It's bad enough getting stuck with a bunch of awful players (or terribly mismatched MM), now imagine if you get stuck with the same awful players for 3 tanks. The risk is too great.

  51. it would be nice add some armor protection, over some week spots. like tracks or wheels. beside spaced Armour skirts. i prefer cover the lower glacis of my german tanks more than just add more armor on the sides.

    in the point of view of balance fit perfect with the game, leaving the player pick what kind of armor buff fit better. in my perspective give more choices for customization and different styles of game play.

    by the way please fix the multi core, i have a A6-3400 with 4gb of ram and hd6750M. the game run between 10-60 frames per second particles, produce lag and lower the fps, because the cpu speed i cant play the game at stable fps.

    keep make this game growth and good luck.

  52. It's good that T-50-2 is getting replaced in my opinion.

    Though I must ask you, Overlord, why doesn't Wargaming consider using half-tracked or fully wheeled armored cars/tanks? I'd love to hear your own opinion as well =)

    2. You think the T-50-2 is awful, wait till an M8 Stage-hound or Puma flanks you ... zips around and comes back. Without environmental effects these vehicles on paper stats are frightening. Many are incredibly maneuverable and quite a few packed a reasonable punch. The TD's versions of the American M3 Half Track and the 76mm armored trucks of the Russian forces would be hell on people too. Cheap to fix and high damage yields. Not the fun you think it would be.

  53. The T-50-2 should already have been hotfixed out of the game by now. Yes, Russian bias is very obvious here. The tech tree doesn't even need shuffling around, it could just be pulled out of the game for now. But no, they'll leave it in to be replaced . . . eventually. Riiiiiight.

    1. That's not a good answer. The game should represent all armored forces equally well, there is no actual excuse not too. Especially with all the effort put into trying to be historically accurate. Shading history in a game [or any other media] causes slanted views of the real facts about the conflict. Young players for example playing the game would wonder "why did the Russians do so poorly through out the war?" "how did the Germans ever make it so far into Russian if there armor was this bad?" "Why didn't the Russians just push the Americans out of Germany entirely with such good armor at there disposal" the list literally goes on and on.

      The reality is the game and its developers seem to pride themselves on being historically accurate to many things, going so far as to post videos of tours and media about the various histories of battles and vehicles. Why bother if your going to in game slant notably towards one side or another [Other games have sided too much towards German or American armor and most aren't played anymore]. The bias needs to be curbed and things need to be leveled out smoothly so that the game will appeal to more than the Russian server players.

      If its an arcade and no worry about historical accuracy was made then I would say who cares ... and would have moved on too the more physics enhanced World War II Online. There is enough to the game physics wise, game play wise and model wise to keep me playing. BUT obviously biased tanks do diminish the game notably for me and others and in the end that's lost revenue for Wargaming Inc.

      Just my thoughts on the matter.

  56. What ever the replacement for the T-50-2 is, could it please be based in reality. You guys worry about projectile physics and armor physics yet through all the tests this obviously broken zig zagger made it through. Even with forum posts about it, it still made it more less intact. Yet the M18 can't reach its top end and other tanks were left as they are despite needing fixing.

    As dev's people call out about your Russian bias, making a tank that wasn't a solid or dependable real vehicle into something it wasn't for the sake of "its cool" does not do anything to dispel the image. Instead this tanks allowed to be un-nerfed for a number of patches, despite the obvious problems the user base has with it. French got nerfed in one patch, again not doing much to dispel the image of bias.

    Please mention or poke the dev's to work more evenly on tanks, the game has great potential. German and American tanks need the same love your dev's lavishly pour on the Russian tanks. Lets not have another "The most vivid example would probably be tier 5 Soviet light tank T-50-2 which in reality was totally different." moment. If you know the tank was horrible in real combat, find another ... like the T-70 which had a six year service run and was the basis for TD's and other projects. A solid tank in its field and worthy of being represented.

    Separate note; Thanks YOU! for finally separating the KV into two parts. I love the new KV-1 and have enjoyed playing a tank that's not a one shot [never liked the KV with the KV-2 turret]. Fighting them now isn't a matter of when I get derped, its still hard [as it should be] but not nearly as hard as it had been. I see few KV-2's now and the few I see are dispatched quickly even after they go for the derp shot. Thanks again for fixing this much needed imbalance in the tier 5's.
